HEALTH
A well-placed health center arranges regular screening for
the workers and provides primary health care facility to their family. Workers
enjoy the benefit of group health insurance. Certified first aiders are
available in all the key departments and large functional areas.
SAFETY
Ananda is vigilant on safety assurance round the clock. All the employees and visitors are only allowed with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inside functional areas. Hazard warnings and safety instruction are posted at all key areas including confined space entry, lifting and handling material area, working area at heights, working area over water, hatchways and housekeeping area etc. Fabrication halls, shipbuilding halls slipways are fitted with water hydrant, in addition to usual stationary firefighting system. Regular safety training on firefighting, fall prevention, handling of heavy equipment, proper storage of toxic solvents, and flammable substance is arranged in the Shipyard premises by certified trainers.
ENVIRONMENT
The shipyard slips vessels on rail-wheel system without
slipping oil to save of river from contamination. In addition, environment
friendly cylindrical shaped air bags made with ENVIRONMENT reinforced layered
rubber are used as a safe launching
system in the yard. These methods nearly have no emissions
into the atmosphere. Trees bordering the yard stand as a symbol to our respect
to environmental issues. All the buildings and working spaces in the yard are
designed as energy efficient by the intelligent use of natural light.
